Set off at 1500 to Longhope in order to position ourselves for the Pentland Firth crossing the following day. Wonderful intricate sail between the islands in NE 5-6. Moored up alongside the lifeboat behind Longhope Pier on advice from assistant coxswain. Made a plan to leave sharply and moor outside should there be a 'shout'!
Patrick was navigator of the day, having been allowed out from his quarters....
